A truck travels from Nkuringo to Kisoro on Monday's and Thursday's both of which are market days in Kisoro. The vehicle leaves Nkuringo at first light in the morning returning at days end. The vehicle returns to Nkuringo from the Rubuguri Car Parking yard at Mr Kanyaruju's house in Kisoro which is very close to the market on the road leading from town to Lake Mutanda. The one way fare is Ushs5,000-. Please note this vehicle is transporting villagers and their goods so is not for people expecting any degree of comfort or for that matter personal safety.
Transport from Kampala to Buhoma
A Gateway public bus departs Kampala daily by 06.00am for Butogota. The journey time is about 11 hours and fare per person Ushs25,000-.
There are two faster buses operated by Savannah and Perfect Coach that travel to the town of Kihihi some 40km from Buhoma. These buses arrive in Kihihi by 14.30 in the afternoon. The fare is Ushs20,000- per person. You would need to take a special hire vehicle to Buhoma from Kihihi Ushs70,000- where you would still be in Buhoma some hours before arriving on the direct Butogota bus.
Buses bound for Buhoma travel during daylight hours although currently stop in the town of Butogota some 15kms from Buhoma where the bus crew arrange a special hire vehicle (usually a pick up truck) to get those proceeding to Buhoma to their destination. This special hire arrangement is at the bus operators cost.

A Gateway public bus departs Butogota daily at 06.00am to Kampala via Ntumgarmo. If travelling by bus from Butogota to Kampala you may find it more convenient to sleep in Butogota as opposed to Buhoma.
